This Cookie Policy explains how Cavallo Agency LLC (“Cavallo Agency,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on cavalloagency.com (the “Website”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more broadly.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They let a site recognize your browser, keep it secure, and understand how it is used. “Similar technologies” include browser storage (such as session storage), pixels, and scripts that collect information about your visit.
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another company’s service running on that website are called third-party cookies.
Our Approach
We keep tracking on the Website to a minimum. We use cookies for two things: keeping the Website and our forms secure, and understanding, in aggregate, how visitors use the Website so we can improve it. The Website does not set advertising cookies directly, and we do not sell personal information.
We do not currently display a cookie consent banner. Instead, this page explains what we use and how you can turn it off.
Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary and Security Cookies
The Website is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may set the following cookies to tell people apart from bots, block malicious traffic, and protect our forms from spam. These cookies do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Bot management; helps distinguish human visitors from automated traffic | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Records that your browser passed a security challenge so you are not challenged again | Varies with security settings (default 30 minutes) |
_cfuvid | Cloudflare | Rate limiting; applies fair-use limits to visitors who share an IP address | Session |
Our forms also use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-focused alternative to CAPTCHA. Turnstile runs in a frame served from Cloudflare’s own domain (challenges.cloudflare.com) and may use cookies or browser storage on that domain to confirm you are a person. Cloudflare describes this processing in its Turnstile privacy addendum.
Because these cookies are needed to keep the Website secure, they cannot be switched off through the Website. You can block them in your browser, but some parts of the Website, including our forms, may then stop working.
Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors find and use the Website: for example, which pages are viewed, how long visits last, and which websites or campaigns referred visitors. We use this information in aggregate to improve our content and design.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one browser from another so visits can be counted | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current session for our Google Analytics property | 2 years |
Google Tag Manager itself does not set cookies; it is a tool for loading other scripts such as Google Analytics. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Marketing and Advertising Tags
The Website does not set advertising cookies directly. However, Google Tag Manager allows us to load measurement or conversion tags from advertising platforms (such as Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, or LinkedIn) when we run campaigns. If those tags are active, the platforms may set their own cookies to measure the results of our ads. Their use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.
Browser Storage
In addition to cookies, the Website uses your browser’s session storage for one purpose:
| Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
utm | Remembers campaign parameters (such as utm_source and utm_campaign) from the link that brought you to the Website, so they can be included if you submit a form | Cleared when you close the browser tab |
Our project inquiry form also saves your answers on our servers as you complete it, so you can resume later and so we can follow up. Your answers are kept on our servers, not in your browser. To reconnect you with them, the form adds a private resume code to the end of the page address (after a ”#”), which you can bookmark or have emailed to you. That code is not stored in a cookie or in browser storage, and the part of the address after ”#” is not sent to our servers or to Google Analytics when pages load. See How Our Forms Work in our Privacy Policy.
How to Control or Opt Out of Cookies
You have several ways to limit or block cookies:
- Browser settings. Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies, either for all websites or for specific ones. See the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. Private or incognito windows also discard cookies and session storage when closed.
- Google Analytics opt-out. Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits to any website.
- Ad preferences. Manage personalized advertising at Google My Ad Center, Microsoft Ad Settings, and the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.
- Global Privacy Control. Some browsers and extensions can send a Global Privacy Control signal. Where required by applicable law, we treat this signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent our forms from working. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect how the Website works for you.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the tools we use or when the law changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
